My thoughts on Concrete Polishing

By Rick Amorey

A lot of people have been asking me how I've come across concrete polishing. I tell them the simple truth; a casual search on an internet search engine can quickly turn up what you're looking for, you just have to know how to find it. Enough internet-savvy, on my part, helped me find the best floor design possible for my home.

But, I really shouldn't be talking about myself. I am here, instead, to talk about concrete polishing and how it's a stylish option for your home. I've personally had polished concrete at home for awhile now, and it still amazes me to this day. I am happy that I had my concrete floor polished.

The concrete's finish is smooth and crisp, and as personal experience have shown, it becomes a natural topic of conversation when you have friends over. Some of the uninformed will even mistake it for marble tiling, but you don't need expensive marble to achieve those results.

I should also note that of all the different choices for floor design, concrete polishing is the most practical. The cost for having my concrete floor polished was comparable to what I would have dished out if I were to simply replace my old tiles with new ones. Of course, concrete itself is very durable, which means maintenance costs will be low to non-existent. Polished, concrete floors stay shiny that long.

Color is also an important consideration for the home, and our mostly wooden motif is complemented by the coffee-inspired hue of the floor. Similarly, anyone who desires specific tints will be pleased with concrete polishing. It is easily stained during the process of polishing, plus the concrete is locked during the process itself, locking the color underneath. This is a good choice for anyone who wants a different material or a different look. - 15252
