How Plastic Surgery Can Get Rid of Your Cellulite

By Ricardo Gibson

Do you have the one section of your body that makes you groan? For many women, cellulite is a cursed word because it is so hard to get rid of regardless of diet and exercise. If you have this problem, a more aggressive approach to consider would be liposuction.

A bit of fat here and there should not bother us. Okay, why not go for some honesty. It can drive you mad. For women, it is the thigh area. For men, the love handles. Removing these pockets of fat can do a world of good for your mental outlook.

The problem with diet and exercise is you cannot really go after a specific spot of the body. You either lose weight as a whole or not. Liposuction works the opposite way. It removes from specific spots, not the body as a whole. Have cellulite on your thighs? It can do the job.

Many doctors feel they can handle liposuction procedures even if they are not really plastic surgeons. As with any surgery, there are risks associated with liposuction. Do not risk it. Interview surgeons till you find a certified plastic surgeon that you like and is willing to work with you.

There are many forms of liposuction these days, but all have the same general steps. The area of focus is perforated and a tube is inserted into the deep fat cells. These fat cells are then sucked out through the tube. This gives a surgeon the ability to focus on very specific areas.

Many people go through liposuction every year with pleasing results. Still, you should know that there are a few complications that can occur with liposuctions. Most are not life threatening. Complications include infection, swelling, toxic shock syndrome, and embolisms.

Every case is different including yours. You should always go through a detailed discussion of the risks and benefits with your surgeon prior to making any decisions. The vast majority of liposuction cases go fine, but know what you are getting into.

Getting rid of fat deposits can be an absolute bear. With liposuction, it is not a problem. Isolated pockets of cellulite simply do not stand a chance. Within an hour of going into surgery, that cellulite will be history.

Ah, but what about afterwards? Well, you are going to be sore. Really sore. Still, the doctor will give you some pain medications and the soreness should be gone in a few days. Then it is just you, the mirror and your beautiful body sans cellulite! - 15252
