I love rugs! How can I not when they are so diverse, pretty, functional and effective home decors? Since old times, rugs have been a common sight in many households. They give so much beauty and warmth to a home that you can't help but be proud that you have such a nice-looking place you call your very own.

Rugs have the power to create any mood, look or ambiance we wish to convey. They also serve functional purposes that make our lives easier, particularly in the complexities of home decorating. Rugs are accessible, vibrant, diverse and adaptable.

Large area rugs in particular, and carpets might be interchanged. It can be called a mini-carpet. But the difference is in their size. Any floor cover less than 40 square feet is a rug while beyond that measurement is already a carpet.

There are various types of rugs, - including hand made / knotted rugs, hand tufted rugs, machine made rugs, modern rugs, contemporary rugs, traditional rugs, natural rugs, animal hid rugs, to name just a few. Determining which rug will work best in a room can be tricky. Before you invest in good-quality area rugs, you need to consider the following:

Consider the shape and size of the rug. Shapes are rectangular, round, square, oval or octagonal. There are also rugs called runners that are ideal for hallways.

Color and Pattern: Rugs are a visual treat that add much to the dcor of a room. With their impressive designs and refreshing colours, rugs have a definite, eye catching appeal.

Style is more on the genre of the rug. Do you want lots of colors and design like a contemporary rug? Or do you want lighter, more subtle tones like a traditional rug?

There are varying sizes and there is something that will surely meet your criteria. There are small, medium-sized and large rugs, and some specific sizes are 2' x 3', 5' x 8', and 8' x 10' to name a few. The shapes are also highly assorted so any preference you have whether it's oblong, circle, rectangular or square, you'll find it.
